**drum roll**
So let's begin with Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil-free.....This product definitely does what it says it does. First off the formula is not greasy or heavy, surprisingly light, glides on very smooth and absorbs into the skin beautifully. Makeup application was a dream and as the day chugged along so did my makeup. I did have to blot some oil off my forehead and around my nose but was not the huge amount I was used too and even after blotting the makeup was intact and looked fresh...Added to that the quantity of product you are recieving, at this amazing quality, for the price is remarkable. One downfall though *sad face* I still had to touch up makeup at my laugh lines BUT Definitely an addition to my kit without a doubt....
2 THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next on my list to review is the Smashbox Photofinish Targeted Pore and Line Primer....This stuff is the real deal when it comes to smoothing away those troublesome pores and fine lines, great for mature skin and yes I will definitely use it on my oily skin as well, it worked great at keeping the oil at bay AND I did not have to touch up my makeup at my laugh lines *whoot whoot*...The formula is a bit thicker than the Laura Mercier but that is to be expected as they perform different duties but still glides on the skin very smooth, no cakey or clumpy feeling..My face felt very supple after the application and makeup application was easy...
Believe it or not but I really do not have anything bad to say about this product at all.........
DEFINITELY ANOTHER 2 THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!
Last but not least we have the NARS Pro Primer Face Prep *sigh*........first off I really did not like the fact that it is in a tub and you have to pick at it plus consistency of the primer wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too thick but it did glide on smoothly...Now this primer most people use to fill lines, wrinkles and to smooth out those troublesome pores as well. Once applied I did not get that nice supple feeling that you would experience once the product is absorbed into the skin, instead it just kinda sat there on top of the skin. Now yes my face looked alot smoother and makeup application was easy but I just hated the fact that it just sat there on my skin...Also as the day progressed I found myself having to pat the oils off my face a bit more that I should .....hmmmmm...did I get a faulty product????...confused..I have heard so much about this product and how great it is but overall I was not that impressed BUT with that said I may just give it another try and maybe experiment some more with other skin types before making a final decision...
1 THUMB UP FOR THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!......will I add this too my kit???? maybe..once I'm convinced..
Hmmm, thanks for the feedback :)) Im considering to try the laura mercier. I too have oily skin, and the last face primer I've been using wasnt really a 'primer', it was a face moisturizer by Arista, that I used as a primer, but I said to myself let me invest in something more suitable. Am shocked that the NARS wasnt all that outstanding like the others tho, but I guess when you try it out on other skin types you may really know for sure if it's worth the money...
ReplyDeleteYea like i said i really dont want to just give a bad review and leave it like that because of the great reviews it has had but also its my personal opinion from the result i have gotten but we shall see...Yes definitely try the Laura Mercier you will love it...
